Dr. Bill Whitlow
Dr. Bill Whitlow was born and raised in LaGrange, Ga. He and his wife, Laura, have three grown children; a son Will, followed by a set of twins, Chase & Riley.
Presently they have 4 cats at home, and 1 dog "Blue" who has volunteered as a blood donor when the need arose.
Dr. Whitlow takes care of the LaGrange Police Department's K-9 Unit
(as well as some other Police Dogs from neighboring areas)
Dr. Whitlow attended Auburn University’s school of veterinary medicine where he graduated with honors in 1988. He has been the owner and operator of Four Paws Animal Hospital since it opened in 1993. Together Dr. Bill and Laura built and created Four Paws, and have worked side by side since day 1, with the same goals in mind: To offer the very best veterinary care to their patients and provide exceptional customer service to their clients.
All 3 of their children not only grew up in and around the clinic, but have or are currently working at the clinic.
Will helping with ultrasound on "Trout" - IT (technical support) was his focus through college...
and as a young man he always enjoyed the patients.
Chase really enjoys working at Four Paws... here he is with Koda.
Koda is a special girl. She was an abuse case and it may be difficult to look at how thin she was when she came to us. It took months to get her back to good health - dewormed, vaccinated, spayed, skin was in terrible shape - but she filled out beautifully and looks so much better. She was placed in a wonderful home and we are so glad we were able to give her a second chance. We are also so very appreciative to all of those who have donated to our Bobbi fund, it helps us to cover the finances for indigent cases like this that take months to resolve and the costs do add up. We have been funding these kinds of cases for 30 years now and have cared for and found good homes for many, many unfortunate pets. We know we cannot save them all, but we do try and save as many as we realistically can.
Riley bottle raised this sweet little orphaned kitten (along with many others over the years). Here she is making a little girl very happy, as well as giving this kitten a new home... (Riley knows rule #1 - you cannot keep them all). They actually named the kitten after Riley... and she still gets to see her at least once a year for her yearly check-up and booster vaccines!
- Not to worry though, Riley did keep one of her bottle babies to take to college w/her as an ESA.
We guess it's easy to see how Riley's love of animals started...
